Dark patterns and greenwashing

Karen is a Principal Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT), Australia. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Australian National University, in the field of public sector crisis management. Karen is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Institute for Governance & Policy Analysis, University of Canberra.

Janine is a Principal Economist at the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC). Janine holds a Master of Science in Economics, specialising in Behavioural Economics and Game Theory. Prior to ACCC, she spent eight years at Treasury and two years at BETA.

Janine is also passionate about promoting the role of women in economics, having spent three years as a board member of the Women in Economics Network Victoria branch, including as Chair.

Ravi is a Senior Advisor at BIT Australia, specialising in regulation and compliance, consumer finance, education, and international development. He is a co-author of BIT’s Applying Behavioural Insights to Regulated Markets. Prior to joining the team, Ravi worked for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
